If you never paid a visit to this place, it's time to pack up your swimming outfits and drive to Enchanted River.
Enchanted River has become a famous tourist attraction in the Philippines. It is located in Barangay Talisay, Hinatuan, Surigao Del Sur. The Deep blue spring lagoon is located in the middle of the jungle and its water flows into the sea which is part of the Pacific Ocean. Its beauty is very enchanting and you would really want to jump into the crystal clear blue water when you see it. It’s a perfect getaway for summer.
Do you know that this spring is very deep that nobody has ever reached its bottom? Many professional divers tried to dive into the cold spring to reach the bottom but all were unsuccessful. There is also a myth that this river is being protected by “enchantress”. No wonder they named it Enchanted River. At 12 noon, the caretaker of the river will ring its bell and all the people should come out of the water. That’s the signal that all big fishes will come out to eat. This is kinda creepy for me when I saw all the fishes. Imagine I have been swimming for hours but I haven’t seen them all until the caretaker rang the bell. These fishes are smart. LOL.
It has been a year now, and we have seen the big changes on the lagoon. Its life has come back! Thanks to the Government of Surigao del Sur who had made an effort in reviving the beauty of Enchanted River.
