I recommend this wonderful metal band from Portland, EEUU.
It has been active since 1995. In its beginnings with a harder Black Metal than the current one, it has been evolving incorporating the darkness of Doom Metal, the acoustic guitars for a touch of Neofolk, and with a slight tendency to Post-Metal .
With a markedly melancholic sound, Agalloch has mostly long tracks with lyrics that usually speak of nature, winter or loneliness.
