Another post on Flat Earth, this one is a lil different though.

Okay so.. I'm making another post about Flat Earth today.
Except.. This time it's not really about the theory of Flat Earth itself.
It's more about.. How people who believed in the theory get treated.

As a disclaimer, before I get flak from abunch of intolerant assholes.. Let me make it clear that I don't believe in the theory.
However, I have taken a LOT of shit just for being less than 1% open to the idea.
I say that because I'm a very skeptical and visual person, and since I haven't been out into space myself.. I don't really know what it looks like.
I admit the powers that shouldn't be could have given us false images. That is not out of the realm of my possible understanding.

When people point to almost any single argument against the theory, to me it's not enough. I feel like I need to see it for myself.
Just saying GPS tho, or Eclipse tho, or horizon curve tho, or any of the various debunking attempts, it just falls "flat" pun intended for me.
Cause I realize too much how information works, and how you can use sophistry to make arguments seem really compelling, even though they don't make sense at all.

For me personally, I probably won't form a 100% belief until I fly out into space and see it for myself.
And I'm fine with that. I don't have this desperate need to define and put everything into a box of knowledge that I possess.
I admit I don't know very much and I'm not trying to say I do.
It's usually more often the people who are desperate to control their perception of what reality is, that get led down false paths.

Now.. To be clear, the main reason why I don't think the earth is flat is because that would pretty much imply an intelligent god being who created it and that the Earth is probably the center of the universe.
I dunno how you can get a flat earth here in a natural way when all the other planetary bodies we see are spherical.
It just doesn't make a lot of sense unless you invoke God.

And.. I think prolly 99% or maybe 90% of the Flat Eathers I've met do invoke God.
The Flat Earth theory basically comes from the bible and other ancient beliefs.
These are often the same people who claim the earth is only a couple thousand years old and that we lived with dinosaurs and that the bible is the word of God.
Yet.. Do I rag on them and spend my life trying to treat them like shit? No.

Some people who feel like it's such a stupid subject may feel like Flat Earthers are misleading people or spreading ignorance.
Which could be true, yet... I don't really care what people talk about or believe as long as those beliefs don't enter the physical world to unjustly harm others.
And I have to wonder.. For some of these super anti Flat Earth people.. Do you ever speak out against bombs being dropped on lil kids in war?
Or other fucked up things like that? Or do you spend your life and energy going after people who are physically harming NO ONE with their ideas?

To me, I just don't understand how Flat Earthers can be hated so much that it seems like they are hated even more than people who support dropping bombs on innocent kids.
I DON'T EVEN BELIEVE IN IT, I think the earth is oblong and spherical.. Yet I still get massive hate just for entertaining the idea and talking about it and leaving it less than 1% open as a possibility.
You Flat Earth haters have some fucking issues if you don't go speak out against little kids being murdered than you do about people philosophizing about the shape of the earth.

Seriously.. What the fuck. I've been trying to curse less lately. Yet.. Shit like that just pisses me off.
Your priorities are fucked up if ignore little babies being blown to bits to go yell at someone who thinks the earth is a diff shape than you.
Fuck you.

Let's have some empathy for others, lets communicate with each other, lets try to learn why we think these things, instead of just attacking each other over beliefs that physically harm NO ONE.
What ever happened to philosophy? What ever happened to there is no stupid question? What ever happened to freedom of religion?
Let these Flat Earth people believe whatever the fuck they want, how does it hurt your life or anyone elses? Seriously.
When was the last time you spoke out about little being murdered by the secret societies of this world and the mindless pawns who obey them?
Where's the perspective here?

Some guy with a page dedicated to debunking Flat Earth came on my poston steemit yesterday and started giving me shit when I don't even belief in flat earth and was just talking about it and I looked at his page and I'm like..
Wow.. You have a whole page dedicated to debunking Flat Earth, what the hell are you doing with your life? Do you ever speak out against corruption?
Or do you spend your life trying to debunk theories about the shape of the earth?

What kind of life do you have to have to be SO FUCKING WORRIED about a theory of the shape of the earth that you spend your precious time creating a whole page to try to debunk it?
Have you ever spent any time in your life trying to stop bombs from being dropped on little kids? OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT?

Maybe you have. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe you do speak out against injustice. Though, I'm sure many of you do not.
Many of you sit by while millions of innocent people are being murdered, and you cry about some people who think the world is a different shape.
Seriously.. Figure out your fucking priorities. Start caring about others and the world more, not the shape of the fucking world.
If you don't.. There may not even be a world left to argue about. Flat or spherical, we're killing ourselves, we are extincting ourselves.
Yet.. You're soooooo fucking worried about the shape of this place.. God.. We're fucked. Rant over.

Oh.. PS.. Almost forgot. I wanted to mention that I've never seen another group more hated than the Flat Earthers.
Not even the KKK.. Something is fucking wrong with that picture. That people who question the shape of the earth are treated the worst.
Even worse than racists and people dropping bombs on kids. It doesn't make me requestion the shape of the earth.
But it does make me question if there is some kind of designed culture going around. By that I mean.. Social engineering.
Unseen methods to create hate and division, some of it organized, but most of it seems spontaneous.

It's almost like.. It's "cool' to bash the Flat Earthers.. If you make a joke about how stupid they are, you'll probably get a lot of likes and comments from people who hate them.
I've experienced this, I've made a couple posts about joking at their ideas and people swarm in to leave their hate.
I've also made some posts questioning certain claims in an honest fair and genuine way, and I get those same people then hating me for even discussing the subject in a peaceful as opposed to malicious angry manner.
To me it's clear there is an irrational amount of hate surrounding the subject compared to other subjects that people should be genuinely pissed off about.. Like bombs being dropped on little kids. -.-

Also.. It grosses me out when people are dehumanized or treated poorly just cause they believe something different that harms no one. If I see any of you doing that to people whether flat earth or any other subject, just cause they believe in something else than you that is different and harms no one.. I will take note of that and judge you based on it. I have no problem judging, I think we all judge.. The thing is, we should try to be fair and moral in our judgments and give credit where it is due. -.-
