Greetings, friends.
Our garden is a part of our family's life. Sometimes the thought arises - you can buy everything at the farmer's market and in the store, but... Your own fruits and vegetables are always tastier. We know how we raised them and that there is nothing harmful about them.
Our family's last weekend was very eventful, considering that our daughter had a graduation party for her graduation certificate.
What do I want to say?
I recently told @elenasteem that raspberries in my garden will ripen in about 2 weeks. But over the past 4 hot days, raspberries have managed to fill up and become sweet.
On Saturday morning, I saw that the potatoes in our garden had started to bloom en masse. We usually start eating fresh potatoes on July 21st, which is my birthday. But everything is maturing early this year. My wife said that her mother had already tasted the fresh potatoes. But we're still waiting to take a sample.
But I also noticed that there are a lot of ripe strawberries again and they need to be harvested. That's exactly what I decided to do tonight.
These are repair strawberries and they ripen before the onset of winter, before the snow falls. Most importantly, it needs to be harvested regularly so that the next berries begin to ripen.
Delicious, fragrant and sweet berries.
Raspberry bushes are in the background of the photo. And at that moment I thought - I need to see the condition of the berries.
Wow, there's a red raspberry. This is my favorite berry since childhood.
We have a lot of yellow raspberries growing here. For some reason, we like this yellow variety, and that's why we have a lot of such bushes.
Two years ago, I planted 30 raspberry bushes, but did not immediately make fences, trellises for bushes. And last year, I also did not arrange the bushes. In the spring, I started making fencing, dug in the posts, but then I was distracted from this activity. And now it's time for us to start eating raspberries again.
Oh, by the way, I planted 10 more bushes this year, but not on our site. and behind the fence. I like wild raspberries more than garden raspberries. It has a more pronounced aroma and taste. When we were kids, we picked all the berries in the forest, and we had only red currants growing on the property next to our house. I still have a love for wild berries.
Even now, we harvest most of the raspberries behind a fence in the forest. But I decided to propagate raspberries in our garden.
A large raspberry harvest is expected this year. Our youngest daughter is indifferent to berries and jams. Granddaughter Alice is also not particularly happy about the berries. But grandchildren Timofey and Andrey, our youngest grandchildren, are very fond of berries. That's why we prepare this delicious food for them. And, of course, I also love jams.
Help yourself, friends.
The black currant also began to gain juiciness. I tried the ripe berries, they are also sweet and juicy this year. In the fall, I need to process these old currant bushes. The most important thing is to find time for this.
Thanks for reading...
