"This is my village, this is my home." These lines from the poem of the 19th century Russian poet Ivan Surikov often pop up in my head when I look down from the mountain at my village. Of course, my locality is no longer a village, but rather a small town, but the lines are still spinning in my head.
Today is Saturday. Yesterday I planned a walk towards the forest, but in the morning I changed my mind and decided to just walk towards the neighboring village. According to the plan, the distance should be about 6-7 km.
When I climbed this hillock, on which there used to be a sign with the name of our town, I decided to use the miniature effect on my Nikon D5300 camera. At that time I had a Sigma 18-35mm lens 1:1.8 DC d72.Here is the result.

I went to the village of Uspenskoye. It's about about 1.5 km. I heard that a huge poplar tree was cut down there in the summer. I wanted to see it. On the way I met wild apple trees. I couldn't walk past them just like that and not take a few photos. I applied the thumbnail effect again.
All the apple trees were completely missing leaves. The apples were small, but there were a lot of them. And they were all red.
The branches of the trees were covered with moss. So the trees have been standing here for a long time. I used to go to this village by another road, along the river. This road was repaired only this year, so I tried never to walk here before.
There was one apple tree on which apples were already growing in good size. But there were few of them. And some of the apples have already fallen from the tree to the ground.
Apples are good, but I have to move on.
A big tree is waiting for me, a big poplar.
But I saw another apple tree. It was a color mix. I just have to share this with you, friends.
So I got to the village and I saw a tree trunk lying next to the road. The diameter of the sawn tree was about one and a half meters. I wished I had a tape measure with me.
I think that you, friends, will see everything for yourself without unnecessary words.
The cutting of the tree itself is very difficult to show. The stump began to grow again. So this tree has been lying here since at least last year.
It looks like the tree has been lying for much longer than one year.
Mushrooms have already begun to grow along the cut in the upper part.
But mushrooms are not the purpose of this topic. With mushrooms, we go to mushroom lovers.
And now I think it's time to go home.

Probably, someone planted these trees on purpose.
When I got home, I decided to take a ride on my UAZ SUV. I rarely use it, so the battery gets hooked on it and it needs to be walked periodically.
I decided to go to the lake, which this year was a very popular place even among residents of the regional center. But at the end of the summer, lime stone began to be mined there.
I decided to check the condition of the lake.
The lake is in place. The development of the quarry is in full swing. I even wonder in which direction the excavations will continue.
I was about to leave for home when people appeared in the quarry. I noticed that the young man was carrying a rifle in a case.
Indeed, it was a rifle and people started shooting from it. I understood that some kind of event was to begin at the hunters, because people began to come to the quarry in cars.
I came home, had lunch and was busy carrying firewood and putting it in the woodpile.
I got an active Saturday. Tomorrow I want to sleep until 7 o'clock. I need to get some sleep. And I'm not going for a walk anywhere. We need to prepare for winter.
