Ingenuity is a technology demonstrator from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, which will assess whether it is feasible to fly safely on Mars, provide detailed mapping of the area that would provide future mission controllers with more information, thus helping in the planning of future routes and risk prevention, and facilitate the location of places to access with the rover and its subsequent study.
