Tempe is a food made from fermentation to soybean seeds or some other ingredients that use several types of Rhizopus molds, such as Rhizopus oligosporus, Rh. oryzae, Rh. stolonifer (bread mold), or Rh. arrhizus. This fermentation preparation is commonly known as "yeast tempe".
