@aowilson and this is my entry for hive music festival week 142 round 2. This week I decided to share a song with you despite my tight schedules. Time has been limiting me, but I hope you enjoy my entry for this week. I will be doing a song cover of Desire by Kaestrings. Follow me as I make your day.
The song speaks of the desire for the presence of God. The author expressed his longing to have the presence of God as this is a paramount thing in the life of any man. A man without God is like a dead man walking.
The presence of God comes with his splendour and his glory, with affluence and influence and his power too. I think the author understands that this commodity is something he cannot trade for anything and so he chooses it as priority above every other thing that God can give to him.
This should be our heart cry too, we must yearn for him and not what his hands can give. We must desire not the things he can give, we must desire him and him alone. Like his own personality and his own self.
He also expressed his need for his by saying there's no other thing he needs and he wants to hold him close. When we don't hold him close, we may loose delicate and slippery raindrops that comes from staying in his presence.
