A Day Out in Perhentian Islands - Malaysia Memories 🇲🇾 #03

Hello friends, this is my third day trip in Malaysia . In this journey I'm going to share my experience on perhentian 🏝 islands, a paradise in northeast Malaysia. In here, the two main islands are Perhentian Besar and Perhentian Kecil. The small, uninhabited islands of Susu Dara, Serengeh and Rawa lie off Kecil. People here generally speak Kelantanese Malay, however English is not used as widely.

I took a flight ✈️to go there from Kotabaru city. It took me 45 minutes to go there.After that I had to take a long speed boat journey through South China Sea to reach this island 🏝.

This islands 🏝 is full or Jungle fringed beaches with turquoise clean water and safe diving condition. This Islands almost will be tourist free if you go there in off season. I visited there in mid January. I got the experience of a kind of private Island feeling there😌😇.

l booked resort Sarila in Pulau Perhentian Kecil (small one).

There too many beautiful beaches ⛱in here. After arriving I took some rest and went to explore the sea beaches. I hired a boat to journey .

The big island 🏝Perhentian, Basar.

This islands have a refreshing lack of commercialisation. Rather than car you can find only Jungle trails and motor boat to go to city or anywhere 🤔. I spent my morning to exploring here . After that i went back to the resort ( small island of Perhentian, Kecil) had my breakfast and stayed there because sun. At afternoon I went to visit nearby village by foot. People here pretty much conservative but they welcomed us. I found some children playing on the jetty. So I spend some time to make a connection with them. I had a very good time with them. It almost evening so I went back to sleep early. Because in the early morning I have to catch a flight to go to another destination.

Note📝: People's here are so much reserved, so respect their privacy and cultural morality. But they are nice and friendly.

If you want to go Perhentian Islands ,be prepared for a full day of travel including flights ✈️, bus journey 🚌 and a stomach churning speed boat 🚤 ride

Suitable for backpacker travellers.

You can enjoy the amazing underwater environment with scuba dive and snorkeling.

Food quality is not good and price is high. Because it is too far away from the city. Only transportation to connect the city is by boat and it has time limitations. Otherwise everything is good and safe here 👍😌
