Tcmd has good logic on this, the nodes will centralize due to no incentives for running one, and lots of reasons not to run one.

The think I like about ltc over bch is that at any time the miners mining btc could wreck them, if they cared to do so.
Ltc has a different hashing algo, maybe that doesn't make much difference, I don't know.
But, this is the reason I hold ltc over bch, which I think is superior to btc in every way.

Hive does solve most of its problems with more users.
Hive is a golden goose, though, if folks wouldn't bleed it out today and powered up everything they got this nest egg grows faster than any passive investments in the legacy economy.

I'm 659 for hp.
I'd be even higher if I had kept all my eggs in the hive basket.
