Udaupati has been opened in the capital, Badda (Merul Badda). Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the new Aeupupa at 5pm on Saturday.
After the inauguration of the Prime Minister's ULOOP, it was opened to the public. The concerned people say, the traffic congestion in the capital's Rampura, Banasree, Aftabnagar, Shahjadpur and Badda areas will be reduced due to opening this ULUP.
As a result, easily going from Hatirjheel to Rampura-Banasree will be going to Malibag. On the other hand, out of these areas, passengers can go to Karwan Bazar area via Hatirjheel.
Under the Integrated Hatirjheel Development Project, Bangladesh Army has constructed a ULPP project. The cost of construction of Uleupati, 2414 meters long and 7.7 meter width, was Tk 33 crore.
The army started the construction of the ULOP at the beginning of 2016, to reduce traffic congestion in Rampura-Banasree area.
