This is a review of the Magic the Gathering card Chain Lightning. This particular one is from the masterpiece series of the Amonkhet block (Invocations).
The format that I'll be basing my opinion on is Commander.
Like:
It has the potential to do a lot of damage for a fairly low mana cost
The controller gets to chose the first target rather then it being random or chosen by the opponent
in order to copy it the opponent must have 2 red mana free
Dislike:
It's a small amount of damage that you initially can do
If the opponent has red mana they can hit you back with the spell
It's a single target instead of a multi-target spell
This card can not be played at instant speed since it is a sorcery
I run this card in my new Gishath, Sun's Avatar deck as a way of killing off chump blockers before my attack phase or to weaken potential blockers.
