Competition is a lot tougher these days! Or maybe I'm getting dumber. The bots are getting smarter and taking all our jerbs, and it's also hard to compete without a Llama, Kitty, or Yodin at the highest levels of Silver, as well as other key units like Halfling Alchemist, Cornealus, Chain Golem, Kron, all the other great Untamed / Dice cards etc., etc., rabble rabble rabble.
Riftwatchers cards have definitely changed the meta, and not just for high mana battles. In a Yodin dominated meta, anything with Reflection Shield is a great pickup so keep an eye out for those.
I guess I have to start paying more attention and focusing on tradeoffs in matchups. I got lucky and made leaderboards last two seasons in Modern Silver but couldn't make the grade this time around, too many good players up in there with cards that I'm too cheap to rent even though it's probably positive EV to do so at the end of season.

Really enjoyed the Gold ghost cards Tournament even though I came out of it with a net SPS loss at 74th place. First time ever playing in Gold so the new abilities were super fresh, using maxed out everything was an on-point experience but a little bit like tasting luxury from afar. The only way to get better at that meta is to have enough cards to play it consistently (or nolife study prior battles and the meta at that League but for real who wants to actually spend their valuable life hours doing that? No judgement if that's you but personally, natch.)

Picked up my first legendary Rewards! They were both Jared Scars but that's cool, because Jared Scar is pretty fly for a Light guy.
