For example, there's this little thing similar to the cuban cigar cutter but for boiled eggs, to cut them in a shape where someone can eat them like a soup; when I walk the dog I can take with me a bone shaped easy poop bag disposal; if I want to take a shower, I can use the sponge with liquid soap inside so I can wash my body without having to use a soap and a sponge separately... I think you get the point, they are unnecessary gadgets that make the average citizen's life easier and simpler. If they didn't have these things in their life, they would still live just fine, but then they would have an excess of money and nothing to spend it in and a shortage of time because they'd need to do things the hard way.
Of course this is satire, my European friend, I'm not making fun of the easy old continent lifestyle, I'm just using a bit of humour to accentuate the way I see these curious little inventions - Inventions that I'm more than certain also exist in the US and pretty much every modern, non-third-world country.
Speaking about unnecesary yet fun inventions, let's talk about this Santa-Like-Sled
As you may know, skiing - a very 1st world country activity, due to the overall price of the average equipment (at least 1,000 euros) and the cost of each session (at least 50 euros) - is a very popular activity in European countries that have access to cool snowy mountains, but that only happens during the cold, winter months.
Speaking about curious and fun inventions made by Europeans looking what to spend money on... during the Summer, or the warm months, there's also this mountain activity called Summer Rodeln which is basically Sledding down a mountain on a one person mini kart attached to a single rail, and you can control the speed with a single lever.
And guess what?
