Moses, the servant of the Lord who ministered to Israel for forthy years could not enjoy the privilege of entering the Promised Land. He saw the land described by God as flowing with milk and honey, but did not enter in with the children of Israel because of sin. We must note that there are consequences for every action we take in life.
God hates sin, so we must avoid it. Although Moses died at the age of one hundred and twenty years, with a sound mind and body, and was mourned for thirty days by the children of Israel, he was not fully fulfilled because of sin.
Although Moses's sin was forgiven, still he had to suffer the consequence of his action. " Sin has consequences". We therefore need to make things right with God when we sin.No matter how we may perceive a sin to be, it is a serious matter before God.
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Sin leads to death, spiritually and physically. Sin attracts God's wrath. Because of it's consequences, we need to be careful with our actions and make things right with God.
