Summer memories of swimming in lake are starting to freeze over.
On a warmer day back in October I went for a brief walk along the rocky shallow frozen shoreline.

This lake is a reservoir. A few planks are removed at the spillway every year in early October. The drawdown helps prevent damage from spring flooding. It also gives the lake residents a chance to preform dock repairs/maintenance.
