My entry for the
#amazingnature contest hosted by @adalger
Pink lady's Slippers are one of my most favorite wild flowers.
They are also called moccasin flowers. They are a member of the orchid family.
They are so delicate and beautiful.
(Cypripedium acaule)
They grow in wooded or semi-wooded areas.
I took these photos last year in late May.
I'm waiting with great anticipation to seeing them again in a few weeks.
When I start seeing the Lady's Slippers, I'm keeping my eyes open for the Trilliums too.
They both bloom about the same time and like the same growing environment.
Painted Trillium
(Trillium undulatum)
I spend quite abit of time working my perennial flower gardens doing everything possible to help the plants be healthy and beautiful.
Wildflowers are absolutely amazing. They are naturally beautiful and exquisite.
They only require my appreciation and admiration.
I don't pick or disturb them. I can't improve upon Nature's perfection.
