Token allocating reminds me cake-cutting. You have many hungry mouths to feed with different stage of priorities and just one pie to share. Most of the times teams are acting more or less the same way – a big share for investors, smaller share for the team. But sometimes even cake-cutting brings surprises.
CoinJanitor has a very special token policy. Due to their needs they decided to highly reward bounty hunters and give them 5% of the share. If the main reason for CoinJanitor ICO was to attract the attention, (and according to their CEO words it was) this step makes sense (another projects normally give from 0,5 to 3 %). CoinJanitor team can expect 10% but just after 2019, before their tokens will be frozen. CoinJanitor partners will receive 5%. 30% of the tokens will be reserved for buying failed coins, and 50% is possible to gain through the token sale.
CoinJanitor token is based on ERC-20 protocol with a total supply 100 000 000, hard-cap – 7 500 000 USD, and soft-cap – 500 000 (reached). Around 40 altcoins are accepted to make a purchase with.
PROs and CONs
If we talk about PROs and CONs again we have to keep somewhere on mind, what was the main purpose of ICO. If like in case of CoinJanitor the idea was to collect the attention more than funds, than luck of advisers is not as eye striking, as well as short ICO time and lack of presale doesn’t surprise anymore.
PROs:
Project utility. I pointed out many times in articles, that it’s very important for crypto to have some kind of regulation. The Janitor does a very important role – cleaning. Imagine a city, where nobody would collect the trash for 10 years. It would be a nightmare to live there. The fact, that we don’t stumble on dead coins doesn’t mean they are not a problem.
Smart usage funds. Why to spend thousands of dollars on fancy video and website, when this is not needed. Why waste a great share of time on presale and ICO, when all you need is just couple influencers, who will spread the word?
Frozen team funds until 2019.
Smart economy concept. More CoinJanicor failed coins eats, bigger he grows, cause despite tokens itself, he also gains the dead coin community.
