anna-newkey just finished a 5.97km walk, that lasted for 76 minutes.
This walk helped anna-newkey burn 446.0 calories.
This is my second post and I'm using the Strava app this time. I won't post every day, I should think, just curious what happens next.. 馃槂
Today we went around the area of the Sandy Heath Transmitter. The first part goes around some fields; you can see part of the adjacent farm in the first image on the right of the transmitter.
My knee wasn't too happy today, probably done too much over the last week, so, although I had started the app as "running", I went into power walking mode for most of the route.
However, on some stretches, where the ground is fairly flat, I did run a bit, especially where it went downhill like here. I feel uphill and/or uneven ground puts more pressure on the joint, so I'll avoid that for now.
Everything is so incredibly dry! It saddens me and when I see animals, I wonder how they get by without much, if any water around. They must suffer a lot!
We try to put out water in our garden, but it constantly needs topping up...
Mia is very camera shy; as soon as I start she'll move away and starts sniffing and things like that. Needs some training with tasty treats... 馃槈
Holly on the other hand is always an excellent model and happy to comply! 馃槃
Some plants do very well in this dry heat..
Apart from a dog's bottom, you might be able to spot the transmitter there between the trees.. We are, of course, on the other side of the tower by now..
We're getting to the end and Holly is back on the lead.. This corner always attracts her, as it's full of rabbit holes, and her recall is, ehm, cr... in this area.. Excuse my German.
