Hi my dear friends! I hasten to inform you that the first day of the two new birds and the puppy in my house went well. I am always very worried about the first day. The animal or bird is under stress. Besides, I never know how my animals will react to a newcomer.
With the birds, no special problems were foreseen and I was most worried about the puppy. She is so tiny (a little larger than my palm) that anyone can harm her even without malice, but through negligence.
But (and this is natural) she does not want to sit still or even in the same room. She wants to walk around the house and interact with other dogs. Otherwise, she starts crying (unless she's in my arms). But I also can't walk all day with a puppy in my arms!
The most crucial moment was to introduce the puppy to Star. We slept in the same room and I woke up all the time if the puppy tried to move to another place. I invited her to sleep in a carrier, which I put on the bed next to me. And she slept there part of the night. But then she got out and hid under my blanket. Fortunately, Star treated her well. I added a small video at the bottom of the post.
Today I also tried to take some better quality photos than yesterday. But so far unsuccessful. She doesn't want to sit still for a second!
