¡Hola! El día de hoy voy a compartir un pequeño blog sobre una de mis redes sociales favoritas: Pinterest.

Hi! Today I'm going to share a little blog about one of my favorite social networks: Pinterest.

Pinterest tiene una funcionalidad distinta a las demás redes sociales. En ella podemos guardar, descargar o crear collages con pines (imágenes y vídeos) de nuestras preferencias.

Pinterest has a different functionality than other social networks. In it we can save, download or create collages with pins (images and videos) of our preferences.

Funciona a base de interacciones previas. Si yo busco contenido de bodas, cuando vuelva a entrar en la app en el inicio, me aparecerá contenido referente a bodas y así sucesivamente con distintas búsquedas.

It works based on previous interactions. If I search for wedding content, when I go back into the app at startup, it will show me content related to weddings and so on with different searches.

Personalmente, me gusta crear diferentes tableros (los tableros son carpetas en donde se guardan los pins que nos gustas) para distintos fines. Por ejemplo, si busco ideas de diseños, creo un tablero solo para guardar imágenes referentes a ese tema. Con Pinterest puedo organizar mejor mis ideas, es como tener una biblioteca virtual.

Personally, I like to create different boards (boards are folders where we keep the pins we like) for different purposes. For example, if I'm looking for design ideas, I create a board just to store images related to that topic. With Pinterest I can better organize my ideas, it's like having a virtual library.

Los emprendedores y pequeñas empresas también la utilizan para
generar tráfico subiendo fotos y vídeos de sus productos o servicios con links directos a sus páginas de ventas.

Entrepreneurs and small businesses also use it to generate traffic by uploading photos and videos of their products or services with direct links to their sales pages.

Es una red social totalmente visual, a pesar de tener opciones de mensajería, las personas realmente no la utilizan mucho. Su crecimiento ha sido muy orgánico, las personas que la utilizan, en su mayoría, son mujeres y es una plataforma bastante tranquila en donde las personas no pelean en los comentarios, sino que se ayudan a buscar más fuentes de inspiración.

It is a totally visual social network, despite having messaging options, people don't really use it much. Its growth has been very organic, the people who use it are mostly women and it is a fairly quiet platform where people do not fight in the comments, but help each other to find more sources of inspiration.
