Hello Guys! All Splinterlands Player!
I'm back again with my Splinterlands post. I created this post to take part in the Splinterlands Wekkly Battle Challenge which this week's theme is Gem Meteor, Epic monster from Neutral elements. I also posted my Social Media Challenge with the title Quora on The Wrong Rulesets about the battle brawl I experienced when I defeated Quora Towershead. I hope you like what I'm going to share.
Guys, the battle with Gem Meteor is challenging for me, because to be honest I very rarely use this monster in every deck I arrange. To take part in this Challenge, I finally pushed rank for the first time in this season. It just so happens that it now also coincides with the brawl battle, so I rented a deck for brawl and push rank at the same time.
Well guys, as you know I'm not a Proplayer nor am I a tournament hero, I'm just happy to share the battle strategy of the battle which I find interesting which might be a reference you can use if the monsters and rulesets in your battle support it. I'm going to share one of the battle strategies I did with Gem Meteor on the Gold League.
When the cosmos was borne into creation and the stars were placed into the heavens, everything had its place and travellers crossed the known worlds by the shapes they had joined together in the sky. As centuries passed, some of these stars were destroyed, either striking other objects or simply their light dying away, obliterated into tiny pieces. Meteors lit up the night for evermore, tracing lines in the blackness as they shot through the sky.
Short Gem Meteor Splinterlands Lore
Edition: CHAOS LEGION
Rarity: EPIC
Element: NEUTRAL
Attack: RANGED
Mana Capacity: 5
Abilities: Scattershot, Piercing
Gem Meteor is an Epic Neutral monster from the Chaos Legion edition which at level 1 this monster has unlocked Scattershot ability and at level 5 or max level Gold League only opens another ability, that is Piercing ability. The progress of this card level increase is not very satisfactory in my opinion, because there is no increase in HP from level 1 to max level, and there is only 1 speed increase, namely from level 1 to level 2 and from level 2 to max level there is no increase in speed. Only the increase in damage looks a little noticeable, namely at level 1 it has 1 range of attack and at max level it has 4 rang attacks.
| Scattershot | Ranged and Magic attacks hit a random enemy target. | |
|---|---|---|
| Piercing | If Melee or Ranged attack damage is in excess of the target's Armor, the remainder will damage the target's Health. |
STRENGTH
WEAKNESS
This battle is to show off the abilities of the Meteor Gem, so naturally there will be these monsters in the line-up. 48 is a high mana battle that is very suitable for using element dragons. I'll combine it with element Life and Neutral. You can see the strategy of each monster in the table below:
| Monster | Position | Abilities | Strategy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Summoner | -1 Speed, -1 Range | The debuff given to the opponent's monster will increase my chances of winning. | |
| First (Tank) | Flying, Taunt, Void Armor | Agor Longtail level 2 as the center of defense in this deck I built. Although not Max level from the Gold league and does not have Heal abilities but I will give supporters 2 Monster Repair and 1 Monster Heal. In addition 2 Resurrect abilities will make the Tank with this Taunt already to be completely removed | |
| Second(Attacker, Support) | Reach, Repair | This level 6 Junker has Reach and Repair abilities which have a dual role as an Attacker with 3 Melee damage and Repair ability to repair Armor from Tanks damaged by enemy attacks. | |
| Third (Attacker, Support) | Resurrect, Reflection Shield, Thank Heal | Oshuur Constantia's level 3 abilities are indispensable in defensive strategies. This monster has the ability Resurrect and Thank Heal at the same time. Resurrect will resurrect dead Monsters then Thank Heal will Restore monster HP in the first position. Since the monster Taunt is in the first position and has the Void Armor ability, I'm sure the Tank I have will be difficult to penetrate and defeat because of the support of Oshuur Constantia. | |
| Fourth (Attacker, Support) | Flying, Repair, Resurrect | One of the most important Tank Supporters of this battle is because of its baility. This is indeed not a League-level Max, but his abilities are already quite strong. Resurrect will resurrect dead monsters, Repair ability is very useful to make Tanks last longer, especially since tanks in this battle have Void Armor abilities. | |
| Fifth (Attacker) | Scattershot | The main actor of this battle, as an attacker because he has 3 attack ranges and has a high speed, making it possible to be the first attacker in this battle. | |
| Last (Attacker) | Sneak, Poison | Uraeus only has 3 mana but has strong abilities as an attacker. Active poison will be troublesome because in each round the HP of the opposing monster will decrease by 2. Maybe you think I'm crazy for putting the Range monster in fifth position while Melee monster is in the last position, but this is indeed my strategy because Uraeus has Armor, so when the monster Taunt is dead, this monster will be the target of the opponent's monster Sneak. |
Opponents use Summoner level 6 Tarsa with line-up a level 3 Grum Flameblade with Bloodust, Void Armor, Void, and Giant Killer abilities in the first position, Radiated Brite level 6 with Reach and Enrage abilities in the second position, Lava Launcher level 5 with Close Range and Stun abilities in third position, Tenyii Striker level 4 with Sneak and Dodge abilities in fourth position, Uraeus level 5 with Sneak and Poison abilities in fifth position, and Sand Worm level 2 with sneak ability at las position. It is obvious that the monster is eyeing the target from the rear position because it installed 3 Sneak monsters.
Alright guys, let's see what this match looks like. I've uploaded the video footage of this battle to youtube, so you can see it right away.
After receiving the buff and debuff, it was obvious that the opponent applied the attacking strategy whereas I applied the defensive strategy. The amount of damage lost far will not scare me, because I am very confident in my Tank and its supporters. Grum Flameblade looked very strong in the early rounds, and was very difficult in breaking through his defenses. I admit the Grum Flameblade is indeed a very powerful Tank.
The match begins with the giving of buffs and debuffs from all monsters and summoners. Meteor Gem gets the first chance to attack, Scattershot leads on Radiated Brute, The enrage ability of this monster immediately activates but the speed does not increase much. There were 2 miss attacks in the first round, namely from the opponent's Uaraeus and Grum Flameblade. My Agor Longtail got a Stun from Lava Launcher.
At the beginning of the second round, the Sand worm dies from poison from my Uraeus and is hit by a Scattershot from Gem Meteor. My Agor Longtail dies for the first time and Resurrect by Oshuur Constantia. Furthermore, he got the Thank Heal ability from Oshuur Constantia so that his HP increased again.
At the beginning in the third round, Gem Meteor returned to action. The scattershot hit the Radiated Brute and this monster died instantly. Grum Flameblade also died in this round. Until the end of the third round, on the opposite side there were only 3 monsters left.
In the fourth round, it was clear that my tank, Agor longtail was getting stronger because of the support of Thank Heal and 2 Repair, while the opposing team looked weaker and just waiting for defeat. At the end of the fourth round of the Lava launcher, so that only 2 monsters belonging to the opponent are left
The opponent's Uraeus died after being hit by a Scattershot attack from Gem Meteor. Only Tenyii Striker remained who eventually died as a result of being hit by Oshuur Constantia's attack.
This battle ends with a need for 5 rounds, where Gem Meteor is the MVP of this battle Scattershot which has killed 3 opposing monsters. You can see the final results of this battle in the picture below.
The strategy I implemented worked very effectively in this battle. Although the monsters I use are not all Gold league max level, but the results I got are very satisfactory. Gem Mereor, which is the theme of this Challenge, also showed a very good performance. The speed that is owned makes this monster get the opportunity to be the first attacker from each round. The scattershot ability possessed makes 3 opposing monsters killed accidentally.
This strategy can be applied to Modern gold Leagues, and perhaps the result will be different if used in other Leagues because the abilities that are open are also different in each league.
