Hello Guys!
I'm back again with my Splinterlands post, and today I wanna share my battle using Djinn Inferni to take apart of Splinterlands SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge!. To be honest, it's quite difficult to take part in this challenge because I very rarely use element fire when doing battle ranks in the Gold or Diamond leagues. For Brawl battle too I don't have a good gladius of element fire, so I rarely use element fire, only when forced to no other option I use element fire.
Finally, I found the right momentum to be able to use Djinn Inferni in my battle, although in my own opinion, the strategy was not optimal and arguably a little forced to use the monster. Well, I'm neither a proplayer nor a tournament hero. I just enjoys sharing strategy and battles that I find interesting in my own view. This is the battle I did when pushing rank in the Diamond league, and maybe the strategy I did was not suitable to be applied in other leagues because the abilities that are open can be different in each league.
Djinn Inferni is a Chaos Legion Epic monster from element Fire that has mana 7, and a Giant Killer ability that has been active since level 1. With each level increase from level 1-4, the stats that increase alternate between Speed, HP, and the amount of damage. Only at level 5 is there an additional active Stun ability. The max level of this monster has a fairly large damage of 5 Magic attacks. Moreover, this monster has a Giant Killer where the damage of this monster will be 2x if it hits a monster that has more than 10 mana.
Unfortunately, this monster only has max 4 HP where for epic monsters that have 7 mana is very small. Only from 1 Opportunity monster attack such as Deeplurker level 5 or Dragon Jumper level 2, Djinn Inferni died instantly.
The rulesets in this battle are Briar Patch (All Monsters have the Thorn ability) with mana capacity 54 and elements active Fire and Water.
The strategy that I will use in this battle is to attack as quickly as possible by utilizing several Swiftness buffs from 2 monsters and also +2 Speed buffs from Summoner Conqueror Jacek.
Since all the monsters in this battle have Thorn abilities, then I will only use 1 Melee monster as a Tank and the rest are Ranged and Magic monsters as Attackers. The complete line-up and strategy of each monster I choose will be explained in the table below.
| Monster | Position | Abilities | Strategy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Summoner | +2 Speed, Scattershot, Piercing | Conqueror Jacek's buffs will be very useful when looking at the existing rulesets. +2 Speed will of course increase the chance to win, plus Scattershot and Piercing, so range attacks will also be able to penetrate the opponent's Armor. | |
| First (Tank) | Bloodust, Void Armor, Void, Giant Killer | Although all monsters have Thorn abilities, but for tanks, I chose Grum Flameblade with large HP and also has a fairly large Armor as well. Grum Has abitily Void and Void Armor, which means that not only kuta resists Range and Melee attacks, but also Magic. Even though it only has speed 1, this monster has Bloodust ability and if Bloodust is active, stats including speed will also increase. Giant Killer will deal double damage if the monster hits that have mana 10 or above. | |
| Second (Second Tank) | Close Range, Weaken, Demoralize | In the second position, I chose the Molten Ash Golem because this monster has the Close Range ability, so if Grum Flameblade dies this monster even though the monster Range can replace it as a tank because it has a fairly high HP. Other abilities that Weaken and Demoralize have will give debuffs to all enemy monsters by reducing -1 HP and also Demoralize will reduce 1 Melee attack. Isn't it good enough to be in second place? | |
| Third (Attacker) | Close Rang, Stun | Lava Launcher also has the ability Close Range, so it can still attack even though it is in the first position. In addition, this monster also has a very large damage, and with piering abilities, buffs from the Summoner, this monster will be very suitable for battle. Stun ability is also very cool. | |
| Fourth (Attacker) | Giant Killer, Stun | Our main character, Djinn Inferni is in the middle position of the formation. I think this position is appropriate because the two monsters behind it are range monsters that can't attack if they are in the first position. Although I am worried about the opponent's monster Oppoertunity, I think this position is the most suitable. | |
| Fifth (Support, Attacker) | Swiftness | This monster has the ability Swiftness which will give +1 Speed buffs to all monster friends. One of the supports that determines the fast attack strategy I planned. | |
| Last (Support, Attacker) | Opportunity, Camouflage, Swiftness, Affliction, Blast | I put this monster in the last position because this monster has the ability Camouflage so sneak monster will not target this monster even though it is in the last position. This monster is the most important monster in this formation because of its abilities. This monster already has a high speed but also has a Swiftness ability that will increase the speed of all monster friends. Another ability is Alffliction, if it hits the target, the target monster cannot be healed. The last ability is Blast, which makes this monster even more explosive. Imagine, this monster is an Opportuniy monser who has 4 range attacks and has a Blast. |
Guys, are you curious about the complete line-ups of the two teams? Take a look at the picture below !
Enemies use summoner Kelya Frendul who gives buffs +1 Speed and +1 Armor, with Tanks in the first position there is a Diemonshark max level that has a Trample, Enrage, and Retaliate. Obviously this monster besides Tank is also a good forward. In second place is Djinn Oshanus max level which has Void, Phase, and Forcefield abilities. The advantage of this monster is that it has a very high speed and has 3 magic damage.
It seems that the opponent misplaced the monster in third place, because there is an Angelic Mandarin max level. I can't guess why this monster is here while 2 magic monsters are behind it. This monster has a Triage ability that will restore monster-friendly HP which is not in the first position but gets the most attacks, and Silence ability will reduce magic attacks from opponents.
In fourth place is River Hellondale which has the abilities Resurrect, Inspire, and Dispel. The fifth position is Narissa Tridawn and in the last position there is a monster Taunt, Wave Brood which also has Close Range and Void abilities.

Let's see together what this battle looks like!
This battle takes place so quickly and only takes 3 rounds to complete. As usual, this battle begins with a show off the buffs and debuffs of all the Summoners and monsters. Obviously buffs +4 speed makes my monsters have a greater speed than the opposing team. So I get a chance to attack earlier than the opposing monsters.
Well, I won this battle, but I don't think this is the best strategy. The arrangement by tucking Djinn Inferni in the middle of the formation seems to be pushy. If it weren't for the challenge, I would have chosen not to use Djinn Inferni. In my opinion, Djinn Inferni is responsible, it cannot be used in which low and middle battles, but for which high battle it would be a pity to use Djinn Inferni because of its small HP. Although the damage actually has is very large, but with an HP of only 4 for monsters where 7 I don't think it is suitable. Unless you can make sure this monster doesn't die before it can attack.
The solution that can be used to use Djinn Inferni with a small cellphone is to use Taunt monster together with Djinn Inferni. It could be that this monster attack will be very deadly for which battle high because of the Giant Killer it has, but maybe this kind of battle experience will rarely happen.
I honestly don't like this Djinn Inferni, and on other occasions maybe I'll use this monster only when there's no other option.
