Since I know my identity,

I'm calm and free.

I can't resemble others,

What's more, they can't be me.

I have blurring scars,

A surprising physical make-up,

Be that as it may, everything cooperates

To make me special.

I have concealed qualities,

Some conspicuous imperfections.

Still I am my identity,

For better in negative ways.

I don't need to mix in;

I won't carry on a lie.

I can't please everybody;

I won't attempt.

Some call me pleased;

Others gaze at me in alert.

In any case, I'm not one to trouble,

Since I know my identity.
