Has a complete stranger approached you asking this question? Or maybe you initiated a conversation with an unknown person because he/she looked like someone you knew once? Sometimes it is someone from a lot of years ago, like a friend, a neighbour or a co-worker and this chance meeting turns into a happy reflective chat in a supermarket aisle or on a sidewalk.
On the other hand, no matter how strong the sense of knowing or how familiar another person is, your mind can be nothing but a blank. Even a quick scan of your core memory banks does not conjure up a name and place. If this has ever happened to you or still does how do you explain it?
You may logically tell yourself that the person looks like an acquaintance or an old friend. You may find yourself apologising adding that they reminded you of a friend you once knew. Or perhaps you may think that the scenario was nothing but a quirky coincidence or synchronicity.
But, what if it wasn't, what if it was someone you feel you once knew? Where, when? While your brain is in overdrive you may even say do I know you? While the other person says no with a warm smile, you may have a quick chat and then move on. Was it energy, the personality, the smile that reminded you of someone? Or do you put this down to someone you knew in another life time and that this little meeting was a fateful catch up and meant to be?
I had one of these experiences on the weekend. I was enjoying a take away coffee with my husband and sister at a table in a little shopping centre in the Brisbane suburb of West End, and as were happily chatting, a lady with a yoga mat walked by smiling at me. She walked over and asked, where have we met before? I had never seen her but she did look familiar. I said in another lifetime. She gave what could only be described as a knowing smile and off she walked.
Maybe I reminded her of someone else but what if I did know her in another life? Was it chance or was this providence? This little experience has stayed with me reminding me of how connected we all are in this wonderful universe. What I am sure of is that we are more than beings living a physical life.
Wishing everyone well.

Celebrating @old-guy-photos #treetuesday, with some tree photos.
It does not matter whether it is daylight, during the lovely sunset sequence or the night, trees look stunningly magnificent as only nature intended them to be. There simple beauty is nothing but breathtaking.
Since I am a hopeless #alwaysaflower girl I am finishing my post with happy flowers. I have had a few nights away and of course have taken some flower photos along the way. These pretty little pansies looked most attractive growing in their pot.
