How many of us want the opportunity to spend time again with someone special? If you are asking yourself if you made every moment matter then join the club? It would be wonderful to talk face to face again over a cup of coffee, to share stories and funny happenings.. To perhaps once more have the chance to say what you did not or to just give a hug. It is not that you did not have a long fun-filled life together it was just that it was suddenly over too quickly. No warning alert was heard, it just happened.

As we all happily participate in a busy life full of work related and leisure, party and holiday activities the time ticks away slowly but surely. On the one hand we have free will to do what we want when we want, alas we cannot stop the ticking clock. Time is its own master. While we decide on when and where certain meetings and events are to take place we do not have a say as how fast or slow time goes by.

Loosing oneself reminiscing on the past is highly understandable, it is a happy and contented state to be. But, on the other hand it is possible to fall into the trap of getting lost in the past memories of the life you shared with a love.

Living in the past and the future is not recommended by professionals like psychologists, philosophers and spiritual/religious advisors. They say that we must stay in the present, be in the now. Of course, memories will never go away they are always a part of each one of us, forever in our hearts.

Acceptance of what is, what was and what is to come is up to each of us to learn. And we will in our own individual times.

The Day Lilly is my inspiration for this post. It is a flower that reminds of making every moment matters. It lives for only one day, such a beautiful, bright and full of wonderful orange coloured Lily brightening up the world for only one day in my garden yesterday. It was a lovely gift from nature, thank you.

But sadly when I went out to see this Day Lily this morning it was no longer alive, the lovely multi coloured orange petals were closed, its beauty only a memory. Its orange beauty still filled my mind, a lovely memory to stay for a while. The best part to this story is that there are 5 more pretty Day Lilies to bloom.

I am grateful that I got up close and personal with this orange themed Day Lily yesterday morning. It was like visiting a colourful kaleidoscope of orange tones. Its lesson is to live like a Day Lily, spread colour while you can. It is all the time we have.
