A grateful silver blogger 'kid'

Thank you Silver Blonde Lizzie, your invite post in 2021 is the reason why I am a silver blogger. You see as I read your words a year ago I was filled with an instant this is fabulous I got to be part of this wonderful like minded group of fellow silvery bloggers.

For me it was the icing on the cake as an oldie retiree blogging on Hive. It was like the light had turned on, I definitely did not want to miss out on the expanse of creativity and friendship.

It was heartening to read how your son started your blogging life on Hive @lizzie as my son also introduced me to the Hive blockchain. This was in 2018. He too drew me in with the tantalising drawcard to earn bitcoins. I recall him saying that I had all the time in the world to write now that I was retired. Little did I know I had to travel the hairy slippery slope of saving passwords, the accidental publishing of half written posts and untimely wifi disconnections, etc.

Giving up has never been a part of my vocabulary and I am very grateful for this attribute of mine. And while I love and will always enjoy reading lots of different kinds of posts and interacting with fellow bloggers of all ages, some of whom I regularly communicate with and see as friends, I love this and am very thankful that I have unknowingly connected with many Silver Bloggers along the way.

For example the very sweet #alwaysaflower creator @dswigle is Silver Swigle, the down to earth and very nice @joanstewart is Silver Streak, the lovely @artywink is the Silver Mamma Chef and fabulous photographer @johannpiber is Silver Goat. I am also grateful for the ever growing new friendship connections in this community, some of whom are Silver Panda, Silver Soul and Silver Cat.

Oops, time to stop as trying to name everyone is fraught with the danger of missing so many out. My sincere apologies if you feel left out at all.
