Today I went to visit my grandmother. I am usually there in the evening hours, but today I went by in the morning hours and I was surprised by these exotic yellow flowers.
The yellow creepers are very well-known flowers in Suriname. You can find them in many yards or along the road. They grow very easily here. I suspect that has to do with the tropical climate here.
The flowers at first caught my eye because there were at least fifty of them in full bloom.
The sun was very bright and I was about to walk on after a quick look at the flowers, looking for shade because I was sweating like crazy. But then something caught my eye and I moved closer to the flowers.
I then saw that dew drops were still hanging on the yellow petals. Wonderful to watch.
That surprised me somewhat, because the sun was very bright. Apparently it didn't do much to the drops after all. Not as much as it did too me.馃槀
I quickly took some pictures and walked on to my grandmother, because she was already waiting for me with delicious snacks and a cold drink.
My grandmother is often sick. She lives alone and therefore likes it when she gets visitors. Fortunately, she did feel good today. And it made me happy to see her with a smile on her face.
She told me enthusiastically that the flowers brighten up her day.
It is so nice when we can still enjoy these beautiful flowers in the middle of the pandemic.
Imagine if one day all the flowers disappeared from the earth! That would be a disaster.
I had a great time with my grandmother today. I hope you have a great day too.
Thank you for visiting my blog.
