Hi Hive guys and the @cinetv community 🎥🖥📽🎞, excited to be back here and tell you about a movie I saw with my classmates. The guidance teacher recommended it for a classroom discussion when we return to school on Tuesday.

At my school, we're talking about artificial intelligence and its use in everyday life, so we're going to have a discussion. Watching this movie, my friends and I had different points of view, and I'm going to tell you my point of view regarding the movie and what I think about the use of artificial intelligence.

I thought it was going to be a boring movie, but it was quite the opposite. The movie is from 2014 and is called Ex Machina (2014). At first, I liked it because it features actor Domhnall Gleeson, the star of one of my favorite movies called About Time from 2013. When I saw him in Ex Machina, I told myself it might be a good movie.

The film is about a boy named Caleb, a programmer at a company who is rewarded with a trip to a remote location, deep in the mountains of difficult access, to conduct research on a robot with artificial intelligence.

There, Caleb meets Ava, a human-like robot who is the target of his research. He will have to perform various tests on her, including performing a Turing test.

But this is where things get complicated, because Caleb creates a somewhat strange relationship with Eva, since she expressed human behaviors and feelings, and I imagine that's what confused Caleb.

I loved how the movie left us thinking about Ava's manipulation by pretending to be in love in order to escape, and how Nathan, the boss, had warned Caleb about this, but he didn't listen and let his feelings and the need he felt to be reciprocated by Eva got the better of him.

I don't think that situation should have happened because Caleb was supposedly a professional and should have known that Ava was programmed to simulate human behavior. I also think she needed a lot of affection. But at the same time, I think Eva deceived us all because in the end, we couldn't understand if Eva really exhibited true human behavior or was just imitating humans.

What I didn't like about the movie is that it was a bit slow at times, but at the same time, thanks to that, I liked the intrigue it left at the end, with many questions and few answers. That was one of the most intriguing parts. Especially because you have to answer for yourself what happened, because the movie leaves many questions open.

One aspect of the film that's quite striking, and what the professor told us, is that it gives us a lot to think about regarding the role of artificial intelligence and to what extent it's good or not. I think all technology is good, but it depends on how we use it. For example, artificial intelligence has done and will continue to do very good things in the field of medicine, as well as in the development of technology. But if we use it for evil, it's not good, or when we stop studying and let it do everything for us, that's not good because otherwise we won't learn anything.

I agree with using AI consciously. I use it to create images and sometimes to understand an exercise, but not to do my homework because otherwise I'll do poorly on the exam.

As for the characters, Nathan, Caleb's boss, is an intriguing but also disturbing character. His arrogance and manipulation are wonderful, although I wouldn't want to encounter someone like that in real life. Ava is the heart of the story; She's a very captivating character, as in the end it's unclear whether she truly had a conscience or was just pretending to have one in order to manipulate the protagonist, which she achieved in a very bold and incredible way. So if you want to learn how to manipulate, this is the movie for you. Hehe

Ava reminds me of some depictions of AI in other films, like I, Robot, since in both films, the two characters are trying to decipher their own personalities, and you can tell they lack a bit of empathy.

And well, if I were Caleb, I probably would have been more cautious with Ava, questioning her intentions before letting myself be swept away by her charms and her personality.

The scene I liked the most was

My favorite scene was when Ava completely reveals herself to Caleb. It's shocking because it changes the dynamic between them and reveals her true colors and intentions. It's a tense moment that leaves everyone reflecting on how far we're willing to go to be free.

Another thing that caught my attention was Ava's body design. Her semi-transparent appearance is, to me, a very beautiful yet strange style because even though we know she's a robot, her way of behaving and acting makes us believe she's a real human being. That part fascinated me because she not only manages to deceive Caleb, but she also deceived us.

The ending was shocking and unexpected for me; it left me reflecting on many things that happened, for example, Caleb's innocence when he was supposed to be a professional, Eva's audacity, her intelligence, and her ability to persuade and deceive.

A better ending for me would have been if Caleb had come to his senses and realized he was being manipulated, but overall, I didn't like the ending because it seems a bit unfair how Ava leaves him locked up when it wouldn't have cost her anything to say goodbye and thank him for freeing her.

I think Ava was very unfair to Caleb. With the action she took against him at the end, there's no doubt he had no feelings and was a living example of being a machine. But my friends tell me there are boys who aren't robots and still behave like Ava. However, I could understand why Ava used him, and it's simply because he was a machine without feelings or emotions, since he hated humans and no longer trusted them. Although he did hate humans, so he did have feelings. In short, this movie left me very confused. #

Hola chicos de Hive y la comunidad de @cinetv 🎥🖥📽🎞, emocionada de estar por aquí nuevamente y comentarles sobre una película que vi con mis compañeras de colegio. El profesor de orientación nos la recomendó para tener un debate en el salón cuando volvamos a clases el martes.

En mi colegio estamos hablando de la inteligencia artificial y su uso en la vida cotidiana, es por ello que tendremos un debate. viendo esta película mis amigas y yo tuvimos diferentes puntos de vista y les voy a contar mi punto de vista con respecto a la película y lo que pienso del uso de la inteligencia artificial.

Pensé que iba a ser una película aburrida pero fue todo lo contrario, la película es del 2014 y se llama Ex Machina (2014) al principio me gustó porque está el actor Domhnall Gleeson protagonista de una de mis películas favoritas llamada Cuestión de tiempo del año 2013 y cuando lo vi en Ex Machina, me dije que tal vez podría ser una buena película.

La película trata de un chico llamado Caleb, un programador de una empresa que como premio le dan un viaje a un sitio alejado del mundo, en unas montañas de difícil acceso, con el fin de que realice un trabajo de investigación a un robot que posee inteligencia artificial.

Caleb en ese sitio conoce a Ava una robot de apariencia humana que es el objetivo de su estudio, él tendrá que hacerle diversos estudios entre esos estudios está realizarle una prueba de Turing.

Pero es aquí donde se complica todo porque Caleb crea una relación un poco extraña con Eva, ya que ella expresaba comportamientos y sentimientos humanos y me imagino que eso fue lo que confundió a Caleb.

Me encantó como la película nos dejó pensando sobre la manipulación de Ava haciéndose pasar como enamorada para así lograr escapar y como Nathan, el jefe le había advertido de esto a Caleb pero éste no le hizo caso y se deja llevar por sus sentimientos y la necesidad que sentía de ser correspondido por Eva.

Yo creo que no debió pasar una situación así porque se supone que Caleb era un profesional y debía saber que Ava estaba programada para simular comportamientos humanos, también creo que necesitaba mucho afecto. Pero a la vez creo que Eva nos engañó a todos porque al final no pudimos comprender si Eva en verdad tenía verdaderos comportamientos humanos o estaba imitando a los humanos.

Lo que no me gustó de la película es que a veces era un poco lenta, pero a la vez gracias a eso me gustó la intriga que deja al final, con muchas preguntas con pocas respuestas, esa fue una de las partes más intrigantes. Sobre todo porque uno mismo tiene que responder qué fue lo que pasó, porque la película deja muchos temas abiertos.

Un aspecto de la película que es bastante llamativo y es lo que el profesor nos dijo es que nos da mucho qué pensar sobre el papel de la inteligencia artificial y hasta qué punto es buena o no. Yo creo que toda la tecnología es buena, pero depende del uso que le demos, por ejemplo la inteligencia artificial en el campo de la medicina ha hecho y podrá hacer cosas muy buenas, así como en el desarrollo de la tecnología, pero si la usamos para hacer el mal no es bueno o cuando dejamos de estudiar y que sea ella la que nos haga todo, eso no es bueno porque sino no vamos a aprender nada.

Estoy de acuerdo en usar la IA conscientemente, yo la uso para elaborar imágenes y a veces para comprender un ejercicio, pero no para que me haga la tarea porque sino en el examen voy a salir mal.

En cuanto a los personajes Nathan le jefe de Caleb, es un personaje intrigante pero también perturbador. Su arrogancia y manipulación es maravillosa, aunque no me gustaría encontrarme con alguien así en la vida real. Ava es el corazón de la historia; es un personaje muy cautivador ya que al final no se supo si en verdad tenía conciencia o sólo fingía tenerla para poder manipular al protagonista, lo que logró de una manera muy audaz e increíble, así que si quieres aprender a manipular esta es tu película ideal. jejje

Ava me recuerda a algunas representaciones de IA en otras películas como Yo Robot, ya que, en las dos películas los dos personajes buscan descifrar sus propias personalidad y se puede decir que les hace falta un poco de empatía.

Y bueno si yo estuviera en el lugar de Caleb, probablemente habría sido más cauteloso con Ava, cuestionando sus intenciones antes de dejarme llevar por sus encantos y su manera de ser.

La escena que más me gustó fue cuando Ava se revela completamente a Caleb, es impactante porque cambia la dinámica entre ellos y muestra su verdadera cara y sus intenciones. Es un momento tenso que deja a todos reflexionando sobre hasta dónde podemos ser capaces de llegar por ser libres.

Otras de las cosas que me llamó la atención fue el diseño corporal de Ava; su apariencia semi-transparente es para mi un estilo muy hermoso y a la vez como extraño porque a pesar de que sabemos que es un robot, su forma de comportarse y de actuar nos hace creer que es un ser humano de carne y hueso. Esa parte me fascinó porque no solo logra engañar a Caleb sino a nosotras también nos engañó.

El final fue para mí impactante e inesperado; me dejó reflexionando sobre muchas cosas que sucedieron, por ejemplo la inocencia de Caleb cuando se supone que era un profesional, la audacia de Eva, su inteligencia y su capacidad de persuadir y engañar.

Un mejor final para mí, podría haber sido que Caleb hubiese razonado y se hubiese dado cuenta que estaba siendo manipulado, pero en conclusión no me gustó su final ya que me parece un poco injusto como Ava lo deja encerrado cuando nada le costaba despedirse y decirle gracias por liberarla.

Creo que Ava fue muy injusta con Caleb, con la acción que tomó al final en contra de Caleb no cabe duda de que no tenía sentimientos y era vivo ejemplo de que era una máquina, pero mis amigas me dicen que hay chicos que no son robot e igual se comportan como Ava. Sin embargo, podría entender por qué Ava lo usó y es sencillamente porque era una máquina sin sentimientos, ni emociones, ya que le tenía odio a los humanos y ya no confiaba en ellos, aunque sí le tenía odio a los humanos, entonces sí tenía sentimientos, en fin, esta película me dejó muy confundida.

Espero la vean y me digan que tal les pareció, yo lo dejo hasta aquí porque sino me voy a quedar sin cerebro y lo necesito porque tengo muchas tareas que hacer, jjejej.
