Creative Fantasy.
Friends of Hive, as I told you in the presentation of my new artwork, I created this work thinking about the sculptures I like, thinking about curved lines that can be used in the volumes of a three-dimensional work of art, which I explain in a dimensional way, as follows:
- With the help of a graphite pencil, I drew the lines freehand, which I highlighted so that they could be seen clearly. A more subtle tone, like curves dancing in pairs to create the shape I desired, because a work of art is not well-finished if one doesn't feel joy and passion for its creation, in the process of its creation.
- During the process, I highlighted the silhouette of the pencil sketch with a very fine brush and a little dark blue watercolor, to establish limits, or rather, not go beyond the line, and thus be able to add color to the outline of the illustration with watercolors. Colors such as blues, greens, and yellow can be seen from the horizon line to the top, in addition to colors such as ochre, sepia, orange, and light green at the bottom, with the intention of creating a support for the artwork that rests on top, as shown in the slides.
- As I progressed with the illustration, I began to color the main piece of the work, first with a slate gray color, detailing each line, then I worked with the colors, browns, sepias, reds, and even some orange, leaving areas of light blank, as shown in the image. But almost at the last moment, I had the fantastic idea of making creative details in the background of the work, while respecting the coloring done with watercolors at the beginning of the work.
- The details incorporated are part of the decoration of the spaces where the main piece sits, on a horizontal surface, as shown in the image.
- The completed full-color work is titled:
Creative Fantasy.
Friends, this work shows part of my professional artistic work, such as the study of pieces that can somehow brighten a space in an artistic way, whether in a two-dimensional or three-dimensional plane...
I hope you liked it the publication.
Thank you very much for your kind attention.
Sincerely,
Angélica García.
