This is the headquarters of one of the detention centers in the municipality of Maracaibo, in the state of Zulia-Venezuela. This police command is called Polimaracaibo and is located inside the La Vereda del Lago Park. In this police station, people who have violated the criminal law are arrested, either for having been caught in flagrante delicto, by a police report or for being the alleged perpetrator of a punitive act and the law states that due to the risk of escape, a preventive measure of liberty will be decreed until it is demonstrated that this person is exempt from criminal responsibility or, on the contrary, that he is responsible for the punishable act, if so, he would be deprived of his liberty but he would no be in this center of detention, he would be in a prison, which is where people are recruited. They have already been prosecuted and already have a penalty or sanction to comply.
