I think by the end of the story they would use some time travel machinations to solve this, hence the scene in which flash tells Bruve that Lois is the key, then maybe in that future Superman's kid who'd become the new Batman.

Frankly, I didn't like how they all piled it on in one movie. They're playing catch up and it showed. The studio assumed that people are already familiar with their characters, so they didn't really need to introduce everyone again, but really though these are different characters from what we've known in past iterations.

At this point, I don't really care about Darkseid (and most of the characters in the DCEU). We haven't really been given a chance to care about them, or even just know them.

The quick cuts wouldn't have been necessary if they were all given the chance to shine in their own outings. DC had the time in the world to do so, but they became very complacent.

I agree, each should have had their own movie, but in trying to playing catch up to the avengers success, they baffled it all. As always. But I believe they could have salvaged it if they'd stuck to the Snyderverse, do a Flash movie, one for Darkseid(including the lore DC universe, their deities, history, roles, anti life equation, etc), and then 2 more ZJL movies to finish off the JL trilogy.

Because what the DCEU is trying to do, multiple universes that may or may not correlate, plots that may not tie into some bigger thing doesn't bode well with me. I guess the MCU's phase 3 may have spoiled me a bit. 😂

That That being said, as much I loved the avengers run, their formula is getting tired. Also, so far there is not much that looks that interesting coming out of phase 4.

Personally I'd love for both the MCU and DCU to figure their shit to give us different yet epic cinematic universes but so far, I think there will be a drought for some time.

Hopefully once shows like Invincible staart kicking their asses they will eventually get their shit together. On that note, if you know of any shows or movies like Invincible, let me know.

The action sequences are good, but it's just too CGI-heavy for me. I guess it's all about preference. I would rather have a cunning villain that's meh in terms of power level than a powerhouse villain that has very thin motivation.

It all depends to me I guess, the setting, the journey, but yeah I get what you mean, I'm sure adding more character development to Steppie would have the movie even longer, bringing us to how they should have made individual movies before.

We're different in terms of our Snyder fandom haha! I liked his style in his earlier films. Dawn of the Dead was probably my favorite entry in that series. 300 blazed a trail and I liked how Watchmen was faithful to the source material (way ahead of its time, in my opinion).

As the years went on, my admiration for him waned. That's not a fault of anyone, I guess my preference just veered away from his style.

I guess that's just how it goes. I still gotta find Dawn of the Dead though. Seems to be an elusive one.
