🔊 New Composition - Foreign Land (HIVE Excl.)

Hello dear friends,

Good things come to those who wait., and hopefully it also applies to my composition/production, which I have completed this week.

I actually started this track back in 2018 when I had to/could create a remix for another artist. However, I had decided on a different hookline back then and put this one, which you might hear in this video, on hold for my own composition. In my opinion, this hookline fits very well to the title "Foreign Land", because it has such a slightly mystical touch.

Of course, I didn't work on this one number continuously for five years now. The track has developed little by little until I finally have it the way I imagine it. But in any case I have worked 100 hours on the track.

Until a week ago, the track "Foreign Land" was still a pure instrumental song without a real name. Then by chance I stumbled across these vocal samples in a library. Fortunately, nowadays vocals can be transformed from one key to another reasonably well using ingenious editing tools. (However, this does not work automatically. You still have to know what you're doing and intervene manually, which takes some time if you want to do it right.)
At least this works well for electronic music, because in the electronic genres vocals are allowed to sound sometimes slightly or sometimes strongly artificial. My processing of the vocals should not even necessarily strike every listener as artificial. Of course, it will be interesting to see what other processing possibilities AI tools will offer in the near future. Do any of you know the video in which David Guetta demonstrates how he transformed his voice into the voice of Eminem using AI?

In any case, I hope you like my track "Foreign Land" (feedbacks are welcome), which I'm posting today exclusively on HIVE for danceweekend by @uwelang. With HIVE I can prove that I created the track at a certain date via the immutable blockchain. I still remember that for such purposes people used to send sealed packages with a tape containing their own composition to themselves by registered mail. I find the variant with HIVE in connection with unlisted Youtube links much more elegant.

Hallo liebe Freunde,

was lange währt, wird endlich gut, heißt es sprichwörtlich, und hoffentlich trifft es auch auf meine Komposition/ Produktion zu, die ich diese Woche fertiggestellt habe.

Begonnen habe ich diesen Track sogar bereits im Jahre 2018 als ich einen Remix für einen anderen Künstler erstellen musste/durfte. Ich hatte mich damals aber für eine andere Hookline entschieden und diese hier, die ihr in diesem Video hören könnten, für eine eigene Komposition zurückgestellt. Diese Hookline passt meiner Meinung nach sehr gut zu dem Titel "Foreign Land", weil sie so einen leicht mystischen Touch hat.

Natürlich habe ich jetzt nicht fünf Jahre ununterbrochen an dieser einen Nummer gearbeitet. Der Track hat sich nach und nach entwickelt bis ich ihn eben jetzt endlich so habe, wie ich mir das vorstelle. 100 Stunden habe ich aber auf jeden Fall an dem Track gearbeitet.

Bis vor einer Woche war der Track "Foreign Land" noch eine reine Instrumentalnummer ohne echten Namen. Dann bin zufällig in einer Library über diese Vocal Samples gestolpert. Glücklicherweise kann heutzutage die Vocals mittels genialer Bearbeitungstools einigermaßen gut von einer Tonart in eine andere transformieren.
(Allerdings funktioniert das nicht automatisch. Da muß schon noch wissen, was man tut und von Hand eingreifen, was einige Zeit in Anspruch nimmt, wenn man es richtig machen möchte.)
Zumindest funktioniert das gut für elektronische Musik, denn in den elektronischen Genres dürfen Vocals gerne auch mal leicht oder auch mal stark künstlich klingen. Meine Bearbeitung der Vocals dürfte aber gar nicht mal jedem Hörer unbedingt als künstlich auffallen. Gespannt sein darf man natürlich, was KI Tools in naher Zukunft noch für Bearbeitungsmöglichkeiten bieten werden. Kennt einer von Euch das Video, in dem David Guetta vorführt, wie er seine Stimme mittels KI in die Stimme von Eminem verwandelt hat?

Ich hoffe auf jeden Fall, daß ihr meinen Track "Foreign Land" mögt (Feedbacks sind erwünscht), den ich heute zum danceweekend by @uwelang exklusiv auf HIVE poste. Mittels HIVE kann ich ja auch schön über die unveränderliche Blockchain nachweisen, daß ich den Track zu einem gewissen Datum erstellte hatte. Ich kann mich noch erinnern, daß man früher für solche Zwecke versiegelte Päckchen mit einem Tape, auf dem die Eigenkomposition war, per Einschreiben an sich selbst geschickt hat. Da finde ich die Variante mit HIVE in Verbindung mit ungelisteten Youtube Links wesentlich eleganter.
