Today was a little rainy here in the UK, so I waited for the Sun to appear before going out. When I arrived at the lake I noticed that there were not so many Geese grazing on the grass bank near the water. This is unusual as there are normally about ten to fifteen pairs all mingling about.
Then to my surprise I saw a small child, who was chasing them and throwing sticks at them also. I first asked the child to stop politely, but was ignored. I then looked around for his Mother who seemed to be busy on her phone and talking to her friend next to her. She seemed totally unaware of what her boy was doing, or maybe she did not even care that her son was scaring the Geese.
Anyway, I shouted a second time to the child: "Stop throwing sticks"! At this point the Mother heard me and started complaining to me that I should not shout at her child! Unbelievable! I really don't understand people's parenting skills these days, as she said absolutely NOTHING to her son...
Ohhh! Well! Time to go home...
