I am usually locking my cards right after I got them - and right now all of them are locked. Since I am not really getting involved in card flipping or anything the like, this is not a problem. I can still rent them out or delegate them, but they will not get burned or transferred.
And if I ever want to sell some cards, it is possible to unlock them.
