Anybody's first birthday has to be magical, and most parents do everything they can to make it so. My parents did, I did it with my two boys. And so it was with this little girl, whose parents contacted me a while ago, full of ideas and enthusiasm.
Her name is Valeria and her parents can't be any more crazy about what to do this day. Ideas were flying all over and I felt that I had to put all of them down to a piece of paper and organize everything so we would be able to make it all true.
First things first, that's my motto right before to start any project. Where should we do this photo shoot? What is the best place? We had already planned that it would be something magical, wonderful, dreamy... and what place can be any better for this than a forest, the home of fairy tales and other beautiful children's fantasies.
But this couldn't be just any session. It's the first birthday of a beautiful girl with high expectations parents, so I hired a team to help me with the art direction, costumes, decorations and lights. Everything had to be perfect!
So, we moved to one of the best places in the city for this project, the so-called Bosque de La Habana, a wooded, irregular place with rustic buildings around it. It was the perfect place and not for nothing the choice of many birthdays, weddings and other festivities.
Immediately we deployed all the design work for the place, selection of best locations, installation of decorations and adapting it to the characteristics of the place, which required a lot of creativity from the team, placement of lights, accessories, etc.
That was how we got everything ready to go. Of course, no matter how prepared everything is, working with children is not easy because they are completely unpredictable and almost never do what you ask them to do, but with a lot of patience and the invaluable support of a professional and dedicated team like few others, we achieved these beautiful photos that I gladly share with all of you today.
