Yesterday it was my last chance to fill my 1st tag deer hunting.
The gun I use is an old school lever action 30 30. -
We were hunting on the northern plains in South dakota. The temps were a bit chilly,10 to 17 degrees F, and we had a dusting of snow over night. We were not finding much till the end of the day.
I spotted these guys way off in the distance on private land where we could not hunt. but we waited it out and they started to move in an hour before sunset.
I shot a doe. I was kind of looking for a buck on this tag but since it was my last chance I shot the doe. it will be good wild meat on the table.
I will let this girl age for a couple of weeks and the process.
