Hi looftee@looftee yes I agree with your comments here, you will become stronger on the other side of adversity and it is something that we can never really fully steer clear of, however I'm even more in agreement with you on the bears. Those things are just scary.

You need to be mindful of your inner critic - that voice that tells you the worst possible things about yourself - it's something Galen also mentioned in this post. Berating yourself is a fast track way to self sabotage and can quickly make your situation more severe. I do it too and it's one of the things that I hate because it is really not helpful when you are in a bad place.

I'll raise your quote with this one which seems fitting to me lol
