Hello Zeesh
Thank you for bringing this topic up with three great ways to help. Depression is absolutely awful to deal with. I've been battling it for over 10 years and it is a daily struggle even with medication (which does help me).
Having support from family and friends can make a huge difference. The lack of understanding from what is essentially meant to be your first support structure can make this condition a heavy load to bear.
I have found that people tend to respond differently to options that can alleviate the brunt of it. I for one have found that running helped me immensely before I had my child. Now, I find that taking some time out tending my herbs and journaling out my thoughts provides some relief if done regularly.
Thanks again for the post and bringing awareness to this topic. The stigma surrounding depression needs to be shattered and the only way to do that is to raise awareness, especially now with the lockdowns and the rates of depression having increased.
Reach out to a friend today and check that they are doing ok.
Many thanks :)
