Book recommendation: The time in between and The vineyard
A bit about the actor, María Dueñas was a professor of english philology at Murcia University who decided to write a book (The time in between) that book became a best seller, and know she's a fulltime writer, lots of best-sellers which have been adaptaded to TV-series. Her next book Sira will be realeased on April 14th , which happens to be a sequel to The time in between.
About the books, the first one tell us the story of a young woman, who follows her lover 'till Tanger, a vibrant city, very different from what she has known all her life. He betrays her and in order to survive and pay depts, she start an atelier in Tetuan. The story follows the european conflictics as the spanish civil war and world war II, so there's the appearence of some historical caracters who bring Sira to start using her atelier as anything else rather than just for sewing and make clothing. This is author's first book and masterpiece.
The other one, tell us a love story of the 19th century, written between La Havanna and Jerez de la Frontera (Spain). When Mauricio finds out he's broken he must makes some decisions to come back to his acomodate position and there's when Soledad comes to his life. This is the third book of the author, people says It's not as romantic and warmth as the others but I think the author wanted to transmit Mauricio's uncertainty, I liked it a lot.
As I said before both of the books have TV-show adaptations, you can fine the time in between in Netflix and The vineyard is from Amazon prime. I hope you enjoy reading, thanks for coming this far.
