The Superbowl is approaching fast. What does that mean? Millions of advertising dollars will be spent by big name companies looking to monetize off there being so many eyes watching big screen TVs during the game. This is where advertising agencies really make their money from vendors like Doritos to, M&M's, to the Coca-Cola and Budweiser. Last year Sports Illustrated reported that companies on average spent $5 Million in advertising dollars toward a 30-second placement during the SuperBowl. With over 100 million estimated viewers it's no doubt that this is a good investment to get the most impressions. We'll get to that word later.

**Who has 5 million laying around? **5 Million is hard enough for a person to gross better yet have a marketing budget for. So how do you compete against these big companies? You run Facebook and Instagram ads during the Superbowl. Adweek reported that their will be an estimated 170 million social media impressions during the game. Your advantage is that big name companies aren't investing in mobile advertising yet, this makes the price of running social media ads during the Superbowl not only feasible but a way to get in the game where there are the most eyes watching or the most impressions.

Impression, sometimes called a view or an ad view, is a term that refers to the point in which an ad is viewed once by a visitor, or displayed once on a web page. The number of impressions of a particular advertisement is determined by the number of times the particular page is located and loaded.

Like I said the price is very low when it comes to creating an ad on Facebook and Instagram. If you just spend $1 per day on Facebook ads, you will get in front of 4,000 people that wouldn't have seen you otherwise. This was not even conceivable before the social media boom that has taken place. But it won't last longer as the dinosaurs of the marketing department of the big name companies retire and the new kids who are on social media all day start getting real power to spend marketing dollars. Then it's over!!

The Superbowl is almost here. So run an ad on Social Media and see what it can do for you.

Imagine if Travis Scott would've dropped "Sicko Mode" during the Superbowl on Social Media. It would be well over a billion views:
