Friday Night Lights! It’s more than a game but a moment in time where some of the best athletes compete. But even before any of that. Before the lights, before the fans, hell before the practices. It’s the TRYOUT. Tre Trezzz is a rapper who’s tryout has started with the drop of his latest single “Medicated”.
Tre Trezzz is a rapper from Tulsa, Oklahoma who is one part of the collective group MBUN (which stands for “My Bother’s Up Next”). Although he has only started rapping a few months ago it will be his talent, competitive nature, and love for the game that will determine if he has what it takes to make it in this game..
Like a young point guard Tre Trezzz is raw talent. He has the type of talent that you just give the ball to and let them go. You can see this in his verse as he is able to fit a lot of words into one bar. And it sounds like he didn’t try to overthink his verse which is why his flow just naturally fits the track. Here’s a few bars that stuck out.
Nerd-ass niggas only tough through the net,
Why the fuck you niggas poppin’ but can’t do what you said,
I rolled some cookie just to get these thoughts out of my head,
And I’m grindin’ to the top success is close to my hands,
But Tre Trezzz isn’t the only one showing he can spit as Lomay is also featured on the track. Lomay also a rapper from Tulsa, has a flow that complements the previous verse and gives the track a different feel and dynamic. His rhyme scheme at the end of his verse shows his skill.
But I ain’t hit the court,Breezy is the source,
Drugs we got all sorts.
Run it back Ima score.
Just listening to the track you can tell that Tre Trezzz knows the formula for a hit. The track has a nice bounce to it and gives off a raw street feel. His flow and delivery make him present on the track in the sense that you know it’s his track. But one of the best things about the track is the hook. This is where Tre Trezzz truely shines. Similar to an athlete that knows how to score, it’s effortless. And anyone who knows anything about a hit, knows that it’s not a hit without a hook. Although be it the song is only 1 minute and 47 seconds this is a TRYOUT! That means we see the potential. The raw talent is there. The actual practice of rapping and getting in the game takes development, something we look forward to seeing from Tre Trezzz.
