That includes music videos, slide shows, inspirational quotes, how-to-videos, etc, etc, etc… So how does one get more views on YouTube. Here’s two tricks that are guaranteed!!!

Creating a visually eye-catching thumbnail is crucial to getting more views. YouTube is a visual social media platform so it’s no wonder why the right thumbnail could mean the difference between having as many views as a Justin Bieber video or as many views as local karaoke contest. So here’s how to update thumbnails in YouTube:
Add or change video thumbnail
Sign in to YouTube.
Go to Creator Studio > Video Manager.
Next to the video, click Edit.
On the left of the preview screen, choose a thumbnail.
Click Save changes.
TIPS: Your custom thumbnail image should be as large as possible, as the image will also be used as the preview image in the embedded player. Here are a few more recommendations your custom thumbnails:
- Have a resolution of 1280x720 (with minimum width of 640 pixels).
- Be uploaded in image formats such as .JPG, .GIF, .BMP, or .PNG.
- Remain under the 2MB limit.
- Try to use a 16:9 aspect ratio as it’s the most used in YouTube players and previews.
