You wanna hear a scary story? The 1st of the month is Thursday and you don't get paid til next Friday. Scary enough? The truth is, it's Halloween! The scary movies, haunted houses, and trick or treaters have waited for this one day to celebrate the things that go bump in the night. But who am I to spoil the story when You.th can tell a much better story. His his latest EP "Ghost in Blood" is a tale from the Town that will quench your Halloween thirst.
You.th is an artist from Tulsa whose is a true artist that has created a lane that is undeniably him. The self-proclaimed vampire has a style that is as unmirrored as his reflection. It's with his lyrics and voice that he casts a spell onto his listeners that can be explained as an out of body experience and often leaving listeners in an euphoric state. This is You.th
The flow is on ascend,
Super heaven sent,
I'm gettin shade,
makin plays,
So my vision got a little tint,
The 4 track EP comes just in time for all the Halloween events that was brought to life with the help of longtime collaborator BRAD PITY RECORDED who did all of the production on the album.
The first song "Ghost in Blood" is You.th telling the story of being saved by a vampire after being involved in a car crash that should have left him dead. But since the vampire had taken favor he is still alive. Or what he thinks is alive.
The second track "Coffin Music" is You.th in his element. Celebrating life while at the same time raising the bar on haters that have been using wooden stakes and silver bullets. Watch out for his lyrical bombs as he goes in and shows off his new found powers.
The song "Decay" goes further into You.th transformation from human to vapmpire as he can feel the changes realizing that the very one that saved him is the one who has a hold on him.
As the sun sets and dawn turns to dusk so comes the last song of the EP called "Keep This in Mind". This is probably my favorite track on the album that features a smooth beat and an even smoother talking You.th that is now accepting of this new him. Some would say he's a vampire, but maybe, just maybe, it was him all along.
Check out You.th's latest EP "Ghost in Blood" who knows, you might just see him out this Halloween.
