It was time to break up fallow grounds

The heavy clouds we did ignore
And the stormy wind we did not heed
But through thick and thin
And through blisters and thorns
We bore the seeds
The assurance of a better future
Carrying the promise of harvest
It is worthless to strive
when there is no hope
But how do you know there is hope
Than to strive and embrace it
