Timber is a music player where you can browse Songs, albums, artists, and personalize theme. This app also support Android Wear and Android Auto. User can easily create, edit playlists, and read lyrics too. Timber is open source, we can visit github link here and Play Store link here.
With rich features and simple user experience, this app can become a new way to listen our music. I thought the logo design need new appearance to illustrate its name. Here's my new logo proposal.
Benefits / Improvements
As I read in urban dictionary, Timber can be interpreted with dancing and partying. That's why I put disco color scheme to this logo. Combination of electric pink, blue, purple and yellow means cheerful and energetic. To represent this app as a music player, I also illustrate play icon as the main graphics. Disc is the first thing I thought when I hear dancing or partying, because there's no party without disc jockey right?
By renewing Timber's logo, I want to connecting the brand name and it's logo, so people will immediately recognize this app.
Tools
I use CorelDraw X7 as my graphic design tool.
