Astoria, Oregon is a beautiful town at the mouth of the Columbia River. It was once a fishing town but now the economy is driven by tourism. It is common to see cruise ships, such as this old style riverboat, docked in town. Astoria is the oldest permanent settlement west of the Rocky Mountains and has been the filming location for many movies, such as The Goonies.
