Hunter's comment

To achieve the best desired vegetables, large experiments are carried out comparing thousands of different varieties of crops in hundreds of hectares, measuring by hand key features, such as the height of the plant. The task is expensive, time-consuming, imprecise and its result is very modest if not poor, since a team can only manually measure some of the plants in a field.
To make this task easier and more reliable we present the robot "TerraSentia"
This fascinating robot measures about 33 centimeters wide and about 11 kilograms in weight, is transportable, compact and autonomous. He meticulously scrutinizes each floor using sensors (essentially cameras), algorithms and deep learning (an automatic learning mode).

One of the challenges for the work of the robot is that the plants are not separated equidistantly, it has a camera which moves adapting to the variable separations between the plants, which has led to a fairly robust system to identify them in different fields , with variable separations, and at different robot speeds.
