Theme: Water.
Greetings to the hivers of this community, which inspires us to write, about the wonderful natural world.
To talk about life, is to talk about water, it is interesting what a drop of water can possess in its composition.
Let's imagine large reservoirs full of animal and plant life in and around them.
Near my house there is a pond that in the rainy season, as it is now, serves as a reservoir for river water, and then in summer time becomes the main source of water for the farm where it is located.
Some time ago, they had a boat and the farm family had fun sailing in it, its water was a little clear, now it is green, because they put a seed of a plant called lemna in it.
Lemna Minor L. or duckweed is an almost minuscule aquatic plant (the smallest in the world), so called because it resembles a lentil. It is almost asymmetrical in shape (elliptical to narrowly ovate), blooms from February to December, and is cultivated in Israel.
Very little water is required to obtain one gram of protein from this seaweed, making it much more efficient than other plants (such as soybeans, kale or spinach).
In addition, it can be planted all year round, using androponic cultivation (without soil), thus saving water, fertilizers and fertilizers and avoiding the use of pesticides and herbicides.
In wastewater treatment. Aquatic plants are effective in the treatment of wastewater (domestic and industrial), in addition to being an ecological and viable alternative.
Source
Perhaps for the conservation and treatment of water was that they placed the lemna in this lagoon, in addition to these plants from time to time are left to see, some waterfowl making life inside it.
It is amazing how from a photograph we can through the What? Where? and How? achieve a great experience with the water, as well as with other places in nature.
Once again thanks to @bucibuci and his challenges for encouraging me to go beyond a simple photograph, which invites us to a great adventure.
Natural Greetings
