I recently spent appx $420 or $450 on an alt account for curating and (eventually) Hive focused posts (news, advertising and marketing, free marketing assists, I haven’t hashed that out to date).
$450 isn’t much, especially to someone like you. I’m a single Mother living in a city with unacceptable rent costs; $450 is a big bite of the apple for me. I wasn’t worried because I do believe in Hive, blockchains, and crypto. I also believe and trust in the tech and financial experts up top (such as yourself). Investing was a no-brainer to me.
Now, I have some funds coming into my life soon (two separate deposits actually) and I wanted to put a large amount of both the deposits into Hive- but I have been hesitant.
$450 is mildly a lot but I was prepared for the possibility of losing it (while never believing I would) and it’s just a few paper bills.
I am hesitant to lock too much more of MY MONEY into a system that doesn’t let me take my money back if I desire. I understand why the powerdown system and scheduling is in place and I agree with it. But, I’m of your mindset; powerdown needs some major re-alignments and until this is taken into consideration I cannot imagine sinking 1000-5000 into Hive.
I don’t intend to invest the pull back out, but we should all have a little more control of our finances and earnings. How can I trust Hive with my money if Hive isn’t expressing trust in me? That’s concerning.

Maybe my feelings don’t matter because I’m just a single mother in Canada who blogs about her life and cannot hold a financial candle up to the real investors, whiteness’, and devs.
Content Creators are at the bottom of the system and it often feels like Creators are invisible, not valued and occasionally disrespected. Aside from being included in curation trails (to build up with pow for everyone) and getting tossed rare 2.00 vote (from the same people who make 200-350 every day), concerns and opinions from us little fish don’t seem to matter.
I want to put my heart and trust into Hive. I want to convert and store fiat in and on Hive. But... it’s MY money. If Hive crashes to 0, I’m prepared for that reality (no I’m not), and if I lose my keys, ok sure, but if I chose to powerdown MY money, it’s important that I can do that in a shorter time frame.

I wish that I could afford to powerdown with you, but I need to keep my fluffs and specks shaking the crypto tree. ✊ I support your decision.
